Islamabad: Hypocrisy of electronic channels especially Geo and Express has exposed badly for showing Turkish plays. Private channels accused Urdu TV One of spreading “indecency” by showing Turkish plays and they did programmes on their news channels condemning the Turkish plays for bringing “indecency” with them.
The true picture is that Urdu TV was attracting huge viewers by showing the Turkish dramas and was also criticized by other private channels for showing “indecency” in Turkish plays. But now these private channels started to show Turkish dramas as well and forget the “indecency” for which they were accusing Urdu TV previously. For earning more and more viewers and revenue, the TV channels are forgetting about moral values and culture restrictions.
