Rathis reach the village and tired. Just when they think of reaching Maasa’s home anyhow, some of the locals request them to watch their performance. Bhabho is frantic about reaching on time and Suraj decides to give some money. but the locals refuse and say that they don’t need favors. The Rathis agree to watch and the locals give some good but challenging performances. Even Emily is highly impressed. She also tries to steal glances at Mohit, who continues to avoid her.
Performances get over, and the Rathis happily give them money and praise their efforts. Sandhya asks the boy whether he goes to school. He replies that he used to but not any more since last 6 months. She wants to know why but by then some angry person comes and overturns the plate holding all money, making it fall down on the ground with a loud crash.
Bhabhasa recognizes him as Thakurji who acknowledges him but wants to give the local guys who entertained a scolding. He’s angry at them for continuing to perform despite warning them not to do so. One of them tries to convince him to forget a mistake made by their father but he is unwilling to listen.
